Pony Sweat is a fiercely noncompetitive dance aerobics practice that celebrates anti-perfectionism and the liberation of all bodies.

Live Classes

Monthly Mixtape

The Montly Mixtape is Pony Sweat’s original class format that consists of a series of dance routines set to a mixtape-style playlist! The mix is emotive and meaningful and hopes to stir and inspire expression, and over the course of a month, we explore the same movement. The choreography consists of many basic dance aerobics movements, with slightly more complex combinations that we are encouraged to learn OR not learn at whatever level we are at! Take what you like, and fuck the rest! Monthly Mixtape class runs about 65 minutes long, and includes brief strengthening and stretching matwork at the end.

Sweat Pony, Sweat Pony, Sweat! AKA Bev (S.P.S.P.S! AKA BEV)

S.P.S.P.S! AKA BEV is a high-energy (at your own level) dance aerobics experience featuring a different playlist each week!  A little about the concept’s inspiration:

“BEV lives in the Blue Indigo Violent arc of the rainbow.  They love to move for about 45-50 minutes to some of their favorite tunes, and to get their heart rate up at their own pace and level.  They love to learn new moves that feel good in their body, and they appreciate time, space, and repetition to practice those moves. BEV also enjoys a camera-optional dance party where they can practice ‘Fuck the Moves’ with their friends.”   That’s soooo BEV.

Pony Sweat is a practice in anti-perfectionism and radical self-acceptance.  Our goal is to cultivate freedom of movement and thought, to take care of ourselves and to take care of each other. Come as you are, all ways, always!

30 Min Pony Vid

This is the 30 minute container for the Pony Sweat practice, made monthly by Emilia and Michella. It contains songs from the previous month’s Mixtape and Bev routines, and includes our warm-up, isolations, lead-follow dance aerobics (Emilia leads, you don’t have to follow), and a brief cool-down of “going inside” and stretching. We hope you enjoy continuing to explore these songs, or dancing to them for the first time in this shorter format!
